Clinical Experience
Collaborative Law Teams- MHP facilitator in collaborative divorce cases. Work with Financial Planners, Attorneys and divorcing couples in the collaborative divorce process. Have completed CLI-TX Basic & Interdisciplinary training, Advanced training, Day One, Day Two and Day Three Training for “The MHP Role in the Collaborative Process” with Linda Solomon. Number of cases to date- 56 as of 06/27/2011
Parent Coordinator/Facilitator Services- client self-referral, attorney requested and court ordered parent coordination services. Work in collaboration with courts and attorneys for high conflict cases to assist co-parents in developing co-parenting plans and/or adhering to plans created, assist parents in shifting to child focused parenting versus adversarial parenting. Have completed Parent Coordination training in the state of Texas and meet all statute requirements. Number of cases to date- 24 as of 06/27/2011
Disputed Custody & Adoption Home Studies- Social studies for Disputed Custody, Independent, Stepparent, and Relative Adoption cases, interstate compacts and international adoptions; Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Grayson, Cooke, Collin, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis and Johnson Counties. Meet the most current state requirements. Total number completed- 176 adoption, 81 disputed custody as of 6/27/2011
Private Practice Counseling Center- Private Practice counseling office. Individual, Couples, Families and groups regarding life issues involving Depression, Anxiety, Social Phobias, Parenting, Co-Parenting after the Divorce, Boundaries, Medication Management, Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Chronic Pain, PTSD, Self- Esteem, Sexual Addictions, life threatening illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, STD’s, terminal diseases, dating, domestic violence, mood disorders, personality disorders, marital conflict, supervised visits, adoption issues, divorce issues, grief and loss issues.
Internship/Post Graduate Practicum- Lancaster Outreach Counseling Center- post graduate placement and post licensure- worked with individuals, couples, teens, children, families and groups. Completed intakes and evaluations of clients. Short Term/Long Term goal setting. Counseling clients with mood and personality disorders, Bi-Polar I & II, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Self Esteem, victims of domestic violence, Court ordered counseling services, marital and co-parenting counseling, elementary age to high school age groups on leadership skills, teen pregnancy, anger management, grief recovery, Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sexual Addictions, Elderly Rape Victims, Chemical Dependency AIDS Services of North Texas- internship & post graduate placement- “no pay” during internship. Worked with Individuals who were HIV+ or had AIDS, their partners and families. Counseled clients with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bi-Polar I & II, Major Depressive Disorder, Factitious Disorder, Somatoform Disorder, chemical dependency, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, Panic Disorder, social anxiety, Physical & Sexual abuse, marital counseling, co-parenting counseling, Worked with clients on Short Term/Long Term goal setting. Administered and scored SASSI & BDI-II assessment tests. Also worked with clients on end of life issues.
